DJ Session I. with DJ Tahira
DJ, producer and seeker from São Paulo, Brazil, Tahira features another eclectic DJ and guide that combines genres and ages, from traditional sounds to electronic mixes by DJ Kultura. His work is extremely influenced by African, Latin, Brazilian, jazz, 70's, disco and soul music.

The production, in his last two editions - Dr Estereo "Cumbia Perdida" and Gilberto Gil "Toda Menina BAiana" (Tahira Re-edit) - received positive feedback from DJ culture legends like François K, Gilles Peterson, Laurent Garnier, Nickodemus , LEFTO, jojoflores, Alex from Tokyo, DJ Izem, Mop Mop, Eagles from Nightmares on Wax, Baron Whiskey and even Gilberto Gil himself, who posted the Tahira version on Twitter and Facebook.

His Netlabel EBS Digg promotes contemporary sounds taken from the Brazilian underground scene and its rich variety. Once again, the focus differs from tradition in electronic music.

With ears always open to the past, the present and the future of music in the most diverse styles, Tahira is a little DJ in different musical scenes, from jazz festivals, music, public spaces and electronic music clubs.
