Artist Rexhep Ferri will present a selection his works and his views on the context in which these works were situated, followed by a question and answer session led by Mehmet Behluli.

This event is part of the exhibition The Director's Cut: Rexhep Ferri (5 April 2011 - 30 April 2011), a curatorial project by Albert Heta. The Director's Cut: Rexhep Ferri is part of Back to the future, a project by Stacion - Center for Contemporary Art Prishtina.


Rexhep Ferri is an academic painter, poet and writer. Rexhep Ferri was born in 1937 in Kukes, Albania. In 1966, Rexhep Ferri graduated at the Academy of Arts in Belgrade, the Branch of Monumental Painting, the class of Professor Rajko Nikoliq. In 1970 He completed the postgraduate studies under the same tutorship in. In 1971 Rexhep Ferri was awarded the December Award of the Parliament of Kosova. In 1975 he received the Kosova's Spring Salon Prize. In 1974 he was elected lecturer at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Prishtina.

Since 2000 he is a member of The Academy of Sciences and Arts of Kosova - ASHAK. He has published several novels and publications with poetry.


Mehmet Behluli is a painter, art manager and lecturer at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Prishtina. He graduated from Faculty of Arts of the University of Prishtina (1987) and finished the master studies at Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Sarajevo (1991). Mehmet Behluli was
initiator, project designer and one of the project leaders of 'Missing identity' project, a three-year project (2003-2006), supported by Relations, a project initiated by Kulturstiftung des Bundes, Rhizoma - space for cultural communications (2007) and Laboratory for visual arts - LAB.
