Stacion - Center for Contemporary Art Prishtina is pleased to introduce the presentation of Molly Kleiman, part of the Public Program of Summer School as School 2017.

Molly Kleiman is editorial director of Triple Canopy, a magazine that advances a model for publication encompassing digital works of art and literature, public conversations, exhibitions, and books. In addition, as co-director of The Back Room, she organizes curatorial and pedagogical projects in collaboration with artists in the US and Iran. With these organizations, she has developed programming in partnership with MoMA PS1, the New York Public Library, the New Museum, the Whitney Museum, NY; Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MA; Alumnos 47, Mexico City; Duplex Gallery, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina; Sazmanab Center for Contemporary Art, Tehran, Iran; among others. She is a founding member of Common Practice New York, an advocacy group that fosters research and discussions about the role of small-scale arts organizations in New York City; and is part-time faculty at New York University.

Stacion – Center for Contemporary Art Prishtina and partner institutions with Summer School as School have created a unique international educational platform, based in Prishtina, as a progressing model; developing an interdisciplinary curriculum and engaging practitioners from the region and beyond in sharing knowledge and expertise with international students and the public.

The project’s larger context responds to the art education systems of Kosovo, Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Slovenia.

Summer School as School 2017 is organized in cooperation with Allianz Cultural Foundation, supported by ERSTE Foundation, Trust for Mutual Understanding(TMU), Federal Chancellory of Austria, Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung office in Prishtina, Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo, Municipality of Prishtina, Independent Curators International (ICI), The Office for Contemporary Art (OCA), Norway and RIT Kosovo.
