The work is made from
18 black (wooden) gravestones, placed in two rows, creating a large wall composition. The wooden gravestones are traditionally used for a certain time in a fresh grave, only to be replaced later with a stone or marble.
The gravestones, in 1998 were the most visible NEW element of the Kosovar landscape. The work was first shown in Prishtina, Dodona Gallery, June 1998.
